First Issue 1917 - 1921

The Hong King George V 1912 issue of sixteen denominations were overprinted by the U.K. printers, Messrs. De La Rue & Co, and entered use on January 1, 1917. While Scott lists two additional color varieties within this group, and Stanley Gibbons lists twenty one, K. L. Perrin identified a total of thirty four color varieties, which, in many cases, can identify the year in which they were printed.
