(Earliest known usage of an unlisted cds)
A cover to England franked with one SG3 four cent stamp which paid the 4 cent rate to the UK and British Possessions. The stamps are cancelled with a rare cds unlisted in Webb but mentioned in Perrin (p. 36) and Schoenfeld. According to these sources there are only two known examples of this cancel and the earliest is dated June 17, 1922, making this example the earliest known usage and one of only four examples of this cds. |

Letter to the United States dated October 30, 1925
(Latest known usage of an unlisted cds)
A cover to the USA franked with one SG23 ten cent stamp, which paid the 10 cent Treaty Port/UPU rate. Again the stamp is cancelled with a rare cds unlisted in Webb but mentioned in Perrin (p. 36) and Schoenfeld. According to these sources there are only two known examples of this cancel and the latest is dated August 25, 1925, making this example the latest known usage and one of only four examples of this cds. This cover is also interesting as the original letter as well as a newspaper clipping showing the agreement to return Wei Hai Wei to the Chinese is still enclosed. |

A cover from Port Edward to Great Britain franked with an SG20 four cent stamp, which paid the Wei Hai Wei/GB and Colonies rate. The stamp is cancelled with another example of the unlisted cds shown above. The cds measures 25mm in diameter and has 3 mm letters. |
