(Previously unknown usage of the Webb type Hiii cds)
A cover from Swatow to England franked with a pair of SG1 one cent stamps showing part of the gutter and one SG5 eight cent stamp paying the 10 cent Treaty Port/UPU rate. The stamps are cancelled with a Webb type Hiii Index C cds which, according to Schoenfeld, is previously unknown to have been used during the period October 30, 1909 and 16 May 1919. According to Webb, less than 50 examples of the Hiii cds are known to exist on cover. |

A cover to England franked with one SG6 ten cent stamp, which paid the 10 cent Treaty Port/UPU rate. The stamp is cancelled with a Webb type I Index A cds of which less than 25 examples exist on cover. |
